Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Scanning
Penetration testing and vulnerability scanning show exactly where your systems could be exploited. We organise testing through an accredited specialist partner, then explain the results in plain English and fix what needs fixing.
✓ Testing by an accredited specialist partner
✓ Scoped, scheduled and managed by us
✓ Findings explained in plain English
✓ Issues fixed by the team that knows your systems
Two levels of testing
Automated scans of your network, servers and internet-facing systems to find known weaknesses, missing updates and misconfigurations. Ideal run regularly to keep on top of new risks.
A skilled tester tries to break in the way a real attacker would, chaining weaknesses together to show what could actually be reached. Often required by customers, insurers or regulators.
How it works
We agree with you what should be tested and why, and arrange it with our testing partner.
Testing takes place at agreed times, with us coordinating so your business isn't disrupted.
We walk you through the report, what the findings mean and which matter most.
We fix the issues found and can arrange a retest to confirm they're resolved.
FAQs
What is penetration testing?
A penetration test is a controlled, authorised attempt to break into your systems, carried out by a security specialist to find weaknesses before real attackers do.
What's the difference between a vulnerability scan and a penetration test?
A vulnerability scan is automated and looks for known issues. A penetration test is carried out by a person who actively tries to exploit weaknesses and shows the real-world impact.
Who carries out the testing?
We organise and manage testing through an accredited specialist testing partner. We scope the work with you, coordinate the test, then explain the findings and fix the issues as your IT provider.
How often should we test?
Many businesses test at least once a year and after major changes such as a new system, office or network. Vulnerability scans are best run more often.
Whether a customer has asked for a test or you want peace of mind, we'll recommend the right level of testing.
