What Copilot can do

AI that works where your team already works

Microsoft 365 Copilot uses your own emails, files, chats and meetings to give answers grounded in your business, inside the apps people use every day.

Outlook

Summarise long email threads, draft replies in your tone and catch up quickly after time away.

Teams

Get meeting summaries, action points and answers to “what did I miss?” without rewatching the recording.

Word

Create first drafts of proposals, policies and reports from your existing documents, then refine them.

Excel

Analyse data, spot trends and build formulas by asking questions in plain English.

PowerPoint

Turn a document or outline into a presentation, and summarise long decks in seconds.

How we get you started

Rolling out Copilot, step by step

Copilot is only as good, and as safe, as the Microsoft 365 environment behind it. Our approach gets the foundations right before anyone starts using it.

1. Readiness review

We check your Microsoft 365 licences, security settings and how your data is stored and shared, and identify any oversharing that Copilot could expose. This is our Microsoft 365 security review.

2. Tidy up permissions

We fix overshared SharePoint sites, Teams and files, so Copilot only shows people what they should see.

3. Protect sensitive data

We set up sensitivity labels, MFA and device security, and help you agree an AI use policy for your team.

4. Pilot group

We licence a small group first, measure the time saved and find the tasks where Copilot makes the biggest difference.

5. Train your team

Practical, role-based training showing people how to write good prompts and check AI output for accuracy.

6. Roll out and review

We extend Copilot to the people who will benefit most and review adoption and value as your use grows.

Copilot options

The right Copilot for each person

Not everyone needs the full paid licence. We help you mix the options so you only pay for what delivers value.

Copilot Chat

Secure AI chat for everyone with a work account, protected by enterprise data protection. A safe replacement for consumer AI tools.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

The paid add-on that works inside your apps and draws on your organisation’s own emails, files and meetings.

Copilot agents

Custom assistants for specific tasks, such as answering staff questions from your policies or handbooks.

AI use policy

Clear rules for your team on which AI tools to use, what data can go into them and how to check the results.

FAQs

Microsoft Copilot questions

Is Copilot safe to use with business data?

With work accounts, Microsoft states that your prompts, responses and data are not used to train its AI models, and Copilot respects your existing permissions. The main risk is oversharing within your own Microsoft 365, which is why we review permissions first. Read our guide to Copilot security.

Do we need Microsoft 365 Copilot licences for everyone?

Usually not. Most businesses start with Copilot Chat for everyone and add paid licences for the roles that will save the most time, such as managers, sales and admin teams.

Which Microsoft 365 plans work with Copilot?

Microsoft 365 Copilot is an add-on for most business plans, including Business Standard and Business Premium. We’ll check your current licences and recommend the most cost-effective option.

How long does it take to get started?

A readiness review and pilot can usually be completed in a few weeks. The time it takes depends mainly on how much permissions tidying is needed.

Will our team actually use it?

Adoption is where most Copilot rollouts fall down. That’s why training and a pilot group are built into our approach, so people see real benefits in their own work from the start.
